How to Play
BOOFGA™ combines the fun and thrills of soccer and golf into a family-friendly beach game. The goal is to kick the soccer ball in the hole in as few kicks as possible.
Each player will kick from the designated starting spot marked with a cone. Use one cone as a starter marker for younger players and place the second cone a few steps behind the closer cone, to make the game fair and competitive for all ages. You could use just one cone if all players are of the same ability.
Player 1 begins the game by placing the ball on the cone and kicking the ball toward the flag. If the ball does not go into the hole, the player should wait until the ball stops rolling and continue with the next shot. Player 1 then kicks the ball again toward the flag, keeping count as to how many kicks it takes to get the ball in the hole. After Player 1 gets the ball in the hole, the next player will step up to the starting cone and take a turn.
At the end of the first round, the player who has the lowest score decides where to move the cones to -- farther or closer to the hole and from what direction. If two or more players have the same low score, the player who kicked first gets to move the starting cone. Players should compete for 9 rounds, with the winner being the one with the lowest total score at the end of the 9th round.
